Celebration of Creation is more of a story than it is just a concert. It starts out with a man and a woman doing the beautiful dance of creation to represent the beginning of life. From there begins an exciting journey of acapella singing, dancing, world percussion pieces, piano and banjo playing. Witness the creation of friendship and hear the first sounds that human beings ever made, sounds of longing, sounds of devotion, and sounds of expression…
Come to this concert with someone you care about and share in the vibe of togetherness. Melodies and harmonies will be flowing.
Past performers include:
Cheikh Ndoye – World travelling bass virtuoso from Sengal Africa.
Raquis Da’ Juan Petree – Dancer who has been featured on BET and has toured with the Kennedy Center.
Ola Odeniran – Dancer who has toured nationally with the Kennedy Center.
Brian Prechtl – Percussionist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
David Alderdice – Percussionist for the group Feast, who have been featured on Rocky Mountain PBS.
Lumi Bustamante – Singer – Lead vocalist for Urban Nation Hip Hop Choir.
Celebration of Creation
This is a concert for the whole family and community. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
